Digital X-rays
Using the most advanced dental technology is just as important as staying up to date on the latest treatment techniques. Magnolia is dedicated to providing you with the safest and most convenient treatment options available. We utilize advanced digital X-ray technology in our office.
Digital X-rays provide several advanced imaging options designed to save time, provide clearer dental photos, and expose patients to less radiation than traditional X-ray technology.
Intraoral Camera
Although X-rays provide valuable information, they don’t give a complete view of everything going on inside your mouth. With an intraoral camera, we can see every aspect of your teeth and mouth with incredible detail, uncovering cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear. When we can discover oral problems early on, your treatment is much less invasive and much more cost effective.
Our intraoral camera is so small that you probably wouldn’t even notice we’re using it, except that with the intraoral camera, you have the opportunity to see everything we see on a monitor. This is a great tool to help you gain you a clear understanding of your teeth’s condition, and allow you to make a more informed decision regarding your treatment options.
Digital CT Imaging
Digital CT imaging systems allows Dr. Matt to provide quick, comfortable, and effective dental imaging for the most precise dental health diagnosis possible. Digital technology provides 3D data for dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, impactions, TMJ treatment, and more. We love CT imaging because one 20-second scan provides enough data for a complete diagnosis, while emitting less radiation than traditional CT scanners.
Our CT scanner is more comfortable, too: patients are seated in an open environment with plenty of space. We are happy to share the data from these scans with our patients, so you can stay informed and are able to make educated decisions on your course of treatment.
Laser Dentistry
Using laser dentistry, Dr. Matt is able to deliver a precise treatment that is more comfortable, quicker, and provides more stunning results. Many laser treatments do not require anesthesia, and the recovery time is much shorter than with traditional treatment methods. There is also less potential chance of bacterial infection because laser treatments are so precise.
There are two different types of laser dentistry: hard tissue and soft tissue. Hard tissue includes treatments such as cavity detection, dental fillings, and tooth sensitivity improvements. Soft tissue treatments include gum reshaping, gum surgery, and muscle attachment improvements.
Procedures such as removing benign oral tumors, regenerating nerves, overcoming sleep apnea, whitening teeth, and treating TMD are also considered laser dentistry treatments.
CEREC®
CEREC, which stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.
CEREC is wonderful because in only one visit you can get a smile of which you will be proud! The process uses the latest technologies, allowing us to make artificial teeth right in our office.
After a thorough examination with x-rays, we can determine if the procedure will work for you. We will go through all of your options with you so that you can be sure you’re choosing the one that will work best for you.
If you decide to use CEREC, we will scan your teeth using the latest technology. Then our dentists will design teeth that are the perfect size and shape for your mouth. Once the teeth are ready, we can place them in your mouth, and you will be ready to go.
Just think, in one visit you can have the smile that you’ve always wanted! All of your broken teeth will look fixed. The empty spaces where you are missing teeth will be filled with new teeth. You won’t have to worry about the shape of your face changing, which can happen when you start losing teeth.
